Mystery bag, June socks and more

My mystery bag is finished:



The strap is quite short, maybe it will fit better for a child.

Pattern: Yarn Mystery 4 by Liv-Toril
Yarn: Some wool, 460 g (~500 yards)
Needles: 8 mm (US 11)
Size before felting: 55 cm wide, 24/58 cm high, strap 85 cm
Size after felting:45 cm wide, 15/38 cm high, strap 65 cm (2x 50 degrees Celsius)


June socks:



Free pattern by Drops design no. 102-15
Yarn: Admiral ombré, 55 g (215 m)
Needles: 2.5 mm (US 1 1/2)
Mods: toe-up, 54 sts, 6 sts between eyelets.

Scarf, Bag and Bag are all done (no pics yet). There is nothing on my needles but wash cloths, and I'm panicing...

Mystery solved

The bag is felting (hopefully) right now. *needles crossed*

It looks like some kind of bag. The last part of the pattern comes on friday.


June socks

On hold, when I'm knitting the mystery bag(?), is the June socks from the Sokker2008-KAL:



And there are a couple of prodjects still on my needles (see my last post).

Yarn Mystery III

Liv-Toril's YarnMystery III is finished. This is a Norwegian KAL where about 200 girls are knitting a secret project. This time it ended up to be the Cabled Newsboy Cap from Stitch 'N Bitch Nation:

Yarn: 70 g Mandarin Fiesta
Needles: 4.5 mm

Yarn Mystery III

Liv-Toril's YarnMystery III has started. This is a Norwegian KAL where about 200 girls are knitting a secret project. No - we don't know what we are knitting, but we still do. :)

I have searched my stash to find a yarn that would fit. I have to look for the right gauge, since I don't know what I'm knitting.

I tried Misti alpaca from Du Store Alpakka:



Then Colonia 140 from handpaintedyarn.com:



But I couldn't get gauge. Do anyone else make swatches like this:



The smaller, the better.... ;)


I ended up with Mandarin Fiesta from Sandnes:



And the first part of the mystery is done:



We will recieve the next part of the pattern on Sunday.
