Beautiful sweater

Look at this:



I think it's beautiful.

Best of all: The pattern is free!

Mine didn't go so well, the yarn has to much twist and I didn't get gauge - I gave up and frogged it.

Remember Shalom?

Back in January I knitted Shalom. And - *tada* - it's finally blocked:



I'm very happy with the result.

I've used this cardigan twice - a succsess in my book.



I made the opening under the arms much smaller than the pattern suggested.



And after blocking it fits perfectly.

Yarn: Sandnes Garn Alfa, 7.5 skeins = 490 yards (446 m)
Mods: Yes (cap sleeves opening made smaller)

I desided to make the sleeves long.

And some problems...

I followed the bust size on the pattern. How stupid. Even if I am a XS-size in bust measurement, I'm not a XS in the shoulders. I know this...

But I made the XS, and sure - it was to small.

But there was no way that I was going to start this project again. I made a small button-band - and the cardigan fits perfectly. Here you can see the button-band:

Takk for innspill om armlengder, jeg går for lang arm, så det er litt strikking igjen før dette prosjektet er ferdig.

Lady Sweater progress

The body is done - on to the sleeves. I really don’t know how long I’m going to make them.



Det går sakte, men sikkert mot en genser. Jeg skal begynne med armene nå, men er fryktelig usikker på hvilken lengde jeg skal velge.

Jeg er en fryspinn. Sannsynligheten for at jeg bruker en kortarmet jakke er ganske liten. Men dette er en bomullsjakke, så sjansen for at jeg bruker den når det er kaldt er også ganske liten... *gruble*

Skoleslutt

Årets skole er slutt og det er sommerferie for skolebarna. Det har vært et fint år for begge mine, med gode lærere og gode venner. Når man så kikker over årets bøker og ser hva de har lært (og ikke lært) så dukker det opp enkelte ting, som dette forbigående lille raseriutbruddet i "Min dagbok" bakerst i norskboka:
