A beautiful scarf

I've made this beautiful and easy scarf:

White scarf

The pattern is the Harlot's One row handspun scarf. 26 sts.
Yarn: 115 g Unknown wool/acryl (50/50) blend (double) from Sandnes Ullvarefabrikk.
dpns: 7 mm (Between US # 10 1/2 and 11)
size: 13 x 140 cm (5 x 55 inches)

I've already started on a second scarf in this pattern.

And talking about the Harlot.... I won a "Bobby award" on Ravelry. Yay! and a big thank you to everybody that voted for me. :)

Update on the Celtic tote

Oh- I kind of forgot my blog and the update I promised. The Celtic tote is all done, with a pocket inside, and ready to be felted in the washing machine. Here it is:

I'm stalling - I would be so sad if this dosen't turn out great, as I think/hope it will.

In the meantime I'm using the leftover yarn to knit a smaller purse.

Embroidery

Is not my strong site.....

I tried back-stitches, look at the left side, not to impressive, I know.

And then I did something else on the right side, much better. And then I had to take apart the left side emroidery and do it all over again. And this is just one side of the tote....

Did I tell you that I hate all work with a sewing needle? If I didn't - I'll tell you now - I really do. And still, this was fun for me, I don't know why. Better pic tomorrow.

More Celtic Tote and another hat

Knitting day and night gives progress.....

My Celtic tote is almost done, knitwise. I think I need pockets inside, but first I have to embroider. Sewing is not my strong side, but I hope it will look good in the end.

Yarn: Hifa tykt vevgarn

I've had this yarn for several years. I've been looking at it and thinking "why did I buy this, I'm never going to use it...", and I'm so excited that I found a project for it. But:

I think/hope this yarn will felt all right, I'm not really sure. What a bummer if it dosen't.

Sloched Tuva Hat again:

The third and fourth Slochy hat is finished.

Free Pattern

This time I altered the pattern by casting on 80 sts for the rib, 90 sts for the hat, and making it a little bit bigger before the shaping.

On to sewing.

Celtic Tote

I have started on the Celtic tote from Interweave Knits:

I'll make anything in the round if I can, so I startet making the bottom first, and I am knitting the sides as I go. Looks ok, I hope I have enough yarn.

Blueberry Waffle Socks

The second pair of socks this year is the Blueberry Waffle Socks:

This is also socks for the Norwegian KAL "Sokker 2008". I have knitted theese before, and they are very nice socks, with a good pattern.

Pattern: Blueberry Waffle Socks
Yarn: 80 gram Smart
Circs: 4 mm

I choosed to knit them toe-up, Magic cast-on. 36 sts. Magic loop.

Have a nice weekend!

My stash

My stash in the end of 2006 was 43 kg, now it is 29 kg.

I have used about 16 kg yarn this last year. Wow.

Happy New Year!

Happy new year - again. This is my best pic from new years eve:

And a new craft-year has started.

One hat is done and one is almost done and I have started on a sock.

I have pics of the hat (comming in next post), I have joined several KALs and I have organized my stash.... (to self: you could actually blog about this....).

:)
