Mittens and a hat
First Christmas present done:
Free pattern: Fetching by Cheryl Niamath
Yarn: Smart, Sandnes garn, 45 g (100 yards)
Needles: 4 mm (US 6)
Second time knitting Fetching, they still curl up at the cast-on and cast-off edge, I really knew that and have to remember this, if I ever going to make them again.
Free pattern: Sloched Tuva Hat
Yarn: Smart, Sandnes garn, 65 g (140 yards)
Needles: 4 mm (US 6)
On to more gifts....

TGIF! and red socks
My first pair of red socks are done:
I really like this yarn, and I'm very happy that I got to try it out (thanks Kate :)).
These are the same socks I knitted last month and I'm really happy with the result.
Pattern: My own
Yarn: Fabel, 65 g (290 yards)
Needles: 2.5 mm (US 1 1/2)
And now - it's just a happy Friday.
Thanks for visiting! :)

In crisis - start knitting!
Swedish consultant recommends knitting in crisis.
Krise? Begynn å strikke!
Svensk konsulent anbefaler strikking som beste råd for å takle finanskrisen.

Curve of Pursuit
After 2 days of weaving in 240 ends
my Curve of Pursuit is finally finished:
Yay!
I've used 1 kg yarn (unknown, wool).
And the blanket is this big:
About 140x140 cm (55x55 inches), but I'm thinking of felting it slightly...
Pattern: Curve of Pursuit by Pat Ashforth and Steve Plummer - Woolly Thoughts.
Yarn: wool
Needles: 6 mm (US 10)
Mods: W&T. Made an I-cord cast off (very nice).
Ravel it!
New on my needles
Socks and a pair of Fetching:
The socks are the same as the last one I made, the Fetching still curl up at the cast-on and cast-off edge, I knew that...
Onward with more knitting!

I'm back
I'm back from a strange weekend of knitting (me) and RC-racing (hubby). The Curve of pursuit is done (all 240 treads are weaved in), a pair of Fetchings are done and I've started on a pair of socks.
But I have no pics to show you....
But if you just are thinking of knitting something: maybe something wearable would be your choice:
;)
See you tomorrow!

Baby blanket
I forgot to show you the first baby blanket I made for the premature knitalong:
I think it is a happy little girly-like blanket. I hope it's needed by some tiny baby somewhere.
It's mostly made in baby wool. 110 sts, garter sts, 110 gram yarn, needles: 4mm (US 6).
Size: 39 x 53 cm (15 x 21 inches).
Happy Friday!!!
and thank you for commenting! :))

Gardermotreffet 2008
This is what followed me home from Gardermoen:
A book, some yarn, some fiber, a drop spindle, some nearly completed projects, a sweater, kool aid, some fabric and then some...
I got rid of some small items for the premature along:
This is what I finished this weekend:
A small blanket and tiny mittens.
I bought yarn:
Regia Silk and Regia 6 fädig Color
and were gifted yarn:
Opal mit Bambus and Fabel Superwash.
Looks like I'm going to make socks....
Thank you so much to Kate that gave me the Fabel, just because I wanted to try that yarn. The color is beautful, I think that my next project is going to be knitted socks in this yarn.
Thanks to MaritaBK for the fabric, and to Arielle and all her helpers for making this weekend the very best.
Thanks to Knittacia for teaching me how to use a drop spindle, so much fun!
And look:
My first handspun yarn, 230 cm (2.5 yards). *lol*
(park and draft spinning)
And at last: Thanks to all the nice girls I met. I hope we'll meet again soon!

Our big knitting avent - Gardermoen (Norwegian only)
For en fin helg vi har hatt! Tusen takk til arielle og hjelperne. Dere har gjort en kjempejobb! *nikker*
Full konsentrasjon:
Dagens muntrasjonsråd (sjekk tuttene):

12 weeks
12 weeks until you know what... ;)
I'm trying to make a heel I can be happy with, havn't found it yet. Nice to make something while I try different sock heels.
Thank you for all your nice comments after my last plaintive post.
You are all so kind.
The big knitting weekend at Gardermoen (Oslo) starts tomorrow. Yay!
I better start packing...
